This is a series of pieces I've been working on since 2005. They are inspired by architecture, geometry, patterns in life and nature, and light and shadow. Each quilt or collage has a minimum of three layers of fabric layered, sewn together, and then cut. Many of the layers of cloth are pieced before being layered and sewn together with other pieces of cloth. This work is what I always go back to when I'm stuck. The smaller pieces act as a sketchbook for larger quilts.
